I recently read an article online about this young british lamp designer – Paul Cocksedge – saying hes light years ahead . Hmm . Looking at his website http://www.paulcocksedge.co.uk/ i can say that hes pretty amazing . Combining electricity with poetry , such as in theme of impermanence in light, where a prospering flower closes a circuit and thus becomes a source of light . Caulius = conductor . ! = ? . Once the flower fades away , light goes off . Lamp is called Life01 .
Another lamp is called Watt , where the user closes the circuit by drawing a circle with a pencil on paper . The bigger you draw the circle , the more shimmery the light becomes . Design has never been so subtle .
