The Nakagin Capsule Tower (中銀カプセルタワ) is a mixed-use residential and office tower by architect Kisho Kurokawa and is located in Shimbashi, Tokyo. It was finished in 1972 and is a rare built example of Japanese Metabolism. The Metabolists were a group of young Japanese architects and they believed that the laws of space and functional transformation held the future for society and culture. The tower is supposed to be demolished now though. If you are interested i recommend you to watch the video as well.
